9~10, June, 2006, Taipei Zhongshan Hall, Taiwan“Four Winds, Four Bliss”is the lastest work from Taiwanese dancer/choreographer Shu-fen, Yao, Artistic Director of Century Contemporary Dance Theatre. This dramatic work aims to discuss the difference between the traditional and the modern wedding ceremonies, focusing on the extreme lives of men and women from a distinctly women’s point of view.
From mahjong to marriage, “Four Winds, Four Bliss” represents human nature. The oriental work is the important and first one that Century Contemporary Dance Company performs on the Europe stage. It is also the very pure work of Yao’s recently published that reflects from traditional oriental culture.
